Ah, I see. The handbrake is a cool setup, I can see how that would reduce weight and simplify things. I can also see where youre coming from with the brake lines, although I still think hardlines would be better suited for interior plumbing.

The polyurethane is fine for pivot bushings, but like I said that front flat bushing will perform much better as a spherical than the poly. I think the best setup for those front control arms is the hardrace offset sphericals. Sealed units with dust boots so they are maintenance free, allow the arm to move freely with no bind through its full travel, and give you additional caster which is important for these chassis.

Otherwise the build is looking great. Are there plans for a graphics package? This ca would look sick with a semi-wrap that matches the orange accent colors

We are distributor/manufacturer for brakelines (HEL performance), so the reason to put them inside is 'marketing'. These lines hardly have any flex, it is not like rubber hoses, this is a braided stainless steel line. It will work, trust me

Suspension: We first try the bushings, the hardest available. We think it will give a comparable or better result then pillow ***** all around, but this has to be tested still. Budget has nothing to do with it...

With those tires you are going to see a lot of the rear lca deflection. That lca is designed to deflect under cornering load and go toe out....why do you think all the btcc guys made those big al triangles to replace the rear lca.....here is a shot of one pair of their lca's

No flex here....
When the car will not take a set in a long turn, you will know why.

Finally another update Check it out @ http://www.projectdc5.com/
Custom exhaust system made by ApeGarage, it sure looks good. Hopefully its quiet enough for trackregulations. We left some room for a second ultra quiet vibrant muffler, in case it's too loud.

Meanwhile we also tested the fuelsystem, smells good that E85 bioethanol. Next monday the car is gonna be mapped and we can fire it up for the very first time. Fingers crossed.

Finally we updated Projectdc5.com again. We were making good progress and all was looking good to participate in one of the last Time Attack events this season.
All just changed for the worse. Ever more reason to keep our heads up and get the car ready for next season. This includes some serious testing, we are hoping for a few nice days this year so we can go for another track day. Not really what is going on right now if I look outside.

Check www.Projectdc5.com to see what's what!

That picture is making the front look a bit strange indeed, but trust me, it is the picture, in real life it is all fine. For testing set at a bit toe-in and 3 or 4 degrees camber, and positive caster.

We are going to test on track again soon, when the weather allows it in this rainy country...
