Default Article on NSX

This may interest some of you - one of the guys that writes for us is a big NSX fan and did a nice piece on the NSX a couple of days ago.

http://www.autosavant.net/2007....html

It prompted my visit back to Honda-Tech - I hadn't been here for sometime, even though I like the site (we show a link to it on our site), but the NSX post made me think about how good a car the NSX was.

Is.

Read the article. Its nice but contains several factual errors. The NSX was not the first car with VTEC and its original hp rating was 270, not 260.

IIRC, the JDM Civic SiR and the Integra had VTEC first but the NSX was the introduction of it in the US. Is that correct?

A JDM version of the CRX was the first car with VTEC. The same model year CRX/Civic and Integra had that motor, which was the b16a. NSX was the first in the U.S.

I used "was" simply because the car model is not produced anymore, but, yes, many of the ones sold previously still exist, and in the present tense, they are still nice cars.

I am not an NSX expert, but the writer, Bruce McCulloch, has quite a bit of knowledge about the model, and certainly has a considerable passion for the NSX - I am surprised he would get the HP wrong of the early models. I am certain the expertise on this thread will catch any inaccuracies, so if there are others, please let me know - I will pass those along to Bruce, and we will post a correction.
