Default valve adjustment problem

Went to adjust my valves today, cyl1 and cyl2 went fine, but on cyl3, the exhaust side is way too tight, even with the adjustment screw loosened all the way, not even the .005 will fit Any ideas? Already tried searching, didn't find anything relevent...

Are you sure the piston was in the correct place?

your probably not adjusting the valves in the right order...1-3-4-2....set tdc then go to the number 1 cylinder closest to the timing belt side...then turn it 90 degress counter clockwise then adjust cylinder 3...another 90 degress counter clockwise then cylinder 4 and so on...good luck

take off the dist. cap and use the rotor as your guide as to where the piston is.

Thanks everyone I'll give that a shot, I was going from the right most piston, working my way left. Incorrect?

YES ! That would mean your going 1,2,3,4

Again as mentioned the firing order is 1-3-4-2
