Default Threw a CEL?

I have a CEL, I think its because i didnt tighten my gas cap. Everything else seems fine. If it is how long before the light turns off? Dont have any engine mods by the way.

just to be safe, check for the code..
i don't know if code goes away after a while or not.. or if certain ecu codes make the car run in safe mode.. but you can always reset ecu to get rid of the code.

George, just reset the ECU. Pull the radio fuse (i believe), then wait 5 minutes. Or, undo the neg on the battery and wait 10 minutes. Remember to have your radio code.

just disconnect your negative or positive batter cables from the battery for like 3 minutes to reset the ECU and u will be good to go.... now if u still have a CEL after that then the problem is still there.. whatever it may be.
