Default Header coating

Ran a search and it looks like most of the threads are from pre 2006. My hytech header is off the car because I needed to go to a test only facility (damn CA). Now that the header is off I figured it would be a good time to get it jet hot coated or Swain coated. What I'm trying to do is avoid shipping the header out.

Anyone in NorCal know of a reputable facility to have the header coated properly?

Thanks!

google ceramic coating your city, high temp coating your city, jet hot your city,

variations of that with your city at the end of the search phrase will pull up a ton of results

I used to like the black thermal barrier header coatings from HPC, but I've had problems with the coating flaking off on the outside of the header twice now.

What type of coating can be used to keep it shiny? I see that nitrate coating that keeps it shiny kind of turns goldish color with the purple, green, and blue heat fading but I have no idea who does that and I tried searching.

you coat a used header? if so that's likely the problem. you either have to sand blast and etch a used header or coat a brand new one
