Fixed Type Dampers
Anyones used Spoons Fixed Type Dampers with a setup of 16kg/12kg or 18kg/14kg i know its a little rough for daily driving but im used to it and i love how it handled on my last car. Just wondering has anyone used spoon fixed and had a problem with them ie installment, driving, track?
Cars getting paid off soon looking to upgrade the suspension. I love stock ride height but i been looking into spoon n1/fixed, tein n1 and pic dampers.
Another thing should i jsut save some money and get koni yellows and then purchase springs?

they're just revalved OEM ITR dampers and i don't think they can handle rates 8k and above.
what kind of driving do you do with the ITR? if it sees mainly street duty i'd highly recommend Mugen Lowdowns. they offer a wide range of rebound adjustment, good height, matched spring/damper valving, robust build etc. i'd also look into GC + Koni/Bilstein combo.
don't be fooled into thinking that the mentioned setups are "soft". i used to be one of those who think harder=better. i've learned that is not the case over the past couple of years. what good is the suspension when the wheels aren't even in contact with the ground (anything over 12k on the streets is definitely overkill since there are tons of bumps and potholes to send you airborne)? an ITR with those setups can be very competent in the right hands even on the track. expensive dampers do not compensate for driver shortcomings

i ran with a rough suspension before. i dont know if its jsut me but i really dont notice the difference between 16kf/14kr and stock. i might be wied i guess. I think im going to try out some koni yellows but i still now sure what springs to go with. any companys out there besides h&r, i know omni dont really like the compnay for some reason
I ran the spoon fixed damper setup with spoon springs and the urethane bushings for a while.
It was by far the best set-up I have experienced, it handled anything i threw at it. Yes it was a bit uncomfortable on long trips, but the drop was perfect and it handled awesome.
Right now i have the mugen lowdowns on and its set at the softest setting, the Mugens seem to be a little less settled when u hit a bump, and can be soft to extremely stiff.
I prefer the spoons over the mugens, just can't be bothered switching back right now.
