Default CD player install

I installed an Alpine unit and it is receiving power and everything but for whatever reason I am getting no sound.

I had the optional stock 6 disc player in the trunk with the factory head unit on it prior and it was working just fine.

Ideas?

Is the amplifier in the head unit blown? Was it new or used?

The Alpine unit was bought used off of eBay so I am unsure if the amplifier is blown, any way to check?

Not sure, probably have a better response in the audio section though.

Well I'm curious if the 6 disc changer has anything to do with it? Or maybe a factory amp, doubtful, that I am unaware about.

how is the 6 disc changer hooked up to the alpine?

Take the "new" unit to a car audio place and have it checked out. Your CD changer has nothing to do with your Alpine not working more than likely.

The audio system in the ITR is old-school. No external amps, no funky wiring, etc. It's all straight forward.

I believe that this might be it. I installed another Alpine unit using the same harness and it worked without issue.

I appreciate the input!
