everyone in here is gonna say NA with a few exceptions. I figure if I go boost I should have gotten a different motor ie. B20 bottom end or Ls engine or hell a GSR engine

If you have to ask questions like this, you should stick to I/H/E.

Seriously.

depends what you want from the car!!! if you want monster power then boost will own NA all day. however, if you want to keep it real, stay NA and build up the motor with higher compression. You can get into the low 13's NA without much problem depending on budget. 13's is plenty fast for a street car, ranks up there with most of the faster NA V8's. If I was you, NA is the way to go for the R.

On the street, I don't care if you're NA/FI/V8/2door/4door/gutted/full interior/etc, the faster car is the faster car.

With that said a 13 sec car will not be the faster car if you race anyone who is even semi-serious about going fast.

Im not talking about racing!! Im talking about a street car general. He wasnt asking if his car will be the fastest on the street or not. low 13's is quick, but OBVIOUSLY its not the fastest car on the planet. If you can break into the 12's all motor on a daily driven street car with full interior, then you got a car to be reckoned with on the streets.

I'm too tired to debate this, but I see what you're trying to say. Bottom line is there is no such thing as "fast enough". Personally a daily driver that can run 12s or better on street tires is my kind of daily driver.

Anyway the thread starter simply does not know enough to even consider any major modifications to his engine. He should stick to I/H/E i.e. simple bolt-ons.

I think that's about the most correct answer you're going to get.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want straight line speed id say save the hassle and sell the car for a turbo beast like a Supra TT. If you are more into road racing/auto x then do a nice N/A setup.

Boost won't last you long unless u spend the time and money to do it right. Your compression is too high.

If you want to use an R for what it was designed you'll stay NA. I think turbo R's are cool, but I personally want to stay with Honda's orginal design purpose of it being an all motor track beast.
