I've had a 7 lb Fidanza for 5-6 years with no problems.

the best aftermarket flywheel i have came across yet is the exedy 9.5lb. it fits perfect, it's gram balanced from the factory and it even has holes for your pry bar to fit in so you can torque it correctly.

my biggest gripe with fidanza is

1. the balance job isn't perfect
2. hard to torque due to no real way to lock it down
3. the holes are slightly off likely to compensate for aluminum expansion?

it's not at all a bad flywheel it's just the exedy offers a better product for barely more money

as for the xtd? got me, it's a hit and miss knock off company. buy the exedy steel flyweel, you won't regret it.

IDK -- I haven't heard bad things about Fidanza but it sounds like Racebum has good reasons to prefer Exedy.
