I'm looking at a 1994 Integra LS with 118,000 miles. It's on lowering springs, has stock exhaust, clean body, has working sunroof, clean cloth interior. The seller accepted my offer of $2,100. Is this a fair price for this car?

From that pciture it looks ok, what about the timing belt, water pump etc. Are you mechanically inclined to be able to fix it?

 

Said parts were replaced. I'd definitely be able to fix it, I have some pretty decent experience with cars.

I forgot to mention the brakes need to be bled.

 

IF they were replaced that's good. Brakes shouldn't be that big of a deal, it could be the brake booster or master cylinder, nothing too crazy expensive. I'd say $2,100 isn't bad at all.

 

How much money should I put into an alarm, etc. to make sure it doesn't get stolen.

 

did you compression test it/look at how ell it was taken care of(took off the valve cover)?. seems like a fair price imo would ditch those rims asap tho.

For a good alarm you are going to look in the $300+ range. Make sure to get yourself any DEI product ( viper, clifford or python) and get the SST technology they offer, it is a 2 way pager alarm with a 1 mile range. Also, look into some kill switches.

 

$2,100 is a great deal from how the car looks and the fact that it has no miles. I paid $1,600 for a 95 LS a year and a half ago, the car had 220k miles. I've used Viper 2-way alarms ($400-$500) on a few of my DSMs and I would recommend them to anyone.

 

is it 5 speed manual? if so, get it you'll love it the vehicle. if its auto, run...fast...very fast away.
