Ok i have a LS with i/h/e, i was wondering what should be the next mod to do that will give me the most for the money. I do not want to go turbo. thanks

 

apexi afc?

a dyno tune with that should give you something i would think

 

vtec head?

 

suspension? it'll give more power to the wheels and traction will be better too.

 

i'd go with suspension, some springs,shocks,swaybars will really make your cars cornering abilities improve.

 

An NO2 kit

 

uhmm... TEST PIPE for 60$$ works really well if u dont hafta pass smog

 

koni shocks, gc sleeves, and itr rear sway bar.

 

How bout sum pistons or cams?? Those should give power. Change your tranny to a SI tranny. Some weight reduction. Ummm.......... take out you A/C P/S and ABS and what everybody else said.

 

The best modification you can do is to get a itr tranny. You will love it!

b16 tranny, itr sway bar, gud springs or coilover and shocks, and 2.5 piping all the way..... oh yeah and stripped interior..

intake manifold, crower all motor cams, build the head, different tranny........lose weight?

 

CTR/USDM ITR tranny.

Dont waste your time on the other stuff. The tranmission will be the best bang for the buck.

he's not ready for an intake mani without upgrading the head first (cams at least).
plus 2.5" piping is a little extreme for a stock LS. probably better off with 2.25 or 2.36 (60mm).

Look if your looking to go fast, you really dont need to worry about alot of suspension work, just get some coilovers sometime. But to go fast in an LS get a B16 Trans, its the cheapest and you can pick one up for cheap. thatll put you into the low 15's. Next get some Crowers Stage three cams/ valvetrain and some head work. do some research, thats a mean set up just off of those three things alone.

Plugs/ plug wires aren't going to gain you anything. Pulleys are still IMO a waste of money for the very small (if any) difference you might see on a dyno. Manifold, as LSvtec03 stated, won't do much good on a stock motor anyways, and nitrous, well you may just want to be careful about that. Stick with a good suspension, you'll be happier with that instead of a single part that won't see a lot of gains.

 

I would do suspension, stripped interior, remove A/C, P/S, ABS, and do some cams and ignition with some dyno tuning. That should help.
