What gauge wire to use for battery relocation to the trunk?

I have to relocate my battery to the trunk in my 00 Integra GSR. What gauge wire would be the best? I bought a Rockford Fosgate 4ga power wire kit today. I think that should do the job, but I just wanted to make sure.

You are correct sir, at minimum do 4 gauge, i personally ran 2 gauge in mine, but 4 gauge will do the job.

Anytime, Did you get good terminals for the kit?

I just got the RF distribution kit so I can connect all my wires under the hood to the power wire and run it to the back.

At least a 4 gauge but the smaller the gauge the better.

i put the starter wire and the fuse box wire at 4 gauge and ran them into a big fuse then went 0 gauge back to the battery

I used 0. I would suggest to go min4 but 2 or 0 is great. Install a circuit breaker aswell!

Well I ran the 4 gauge and everything is working great so far.

I gotta do this to my car also, how long did you get the wire? how much u pay?

What are you using to hold down the battery in the trunk?

you mean the lower the gauge # the better.. cause too small of a gauge <4 would be bad... voltage drop, ie.

Do not overlook running a circuit breaker guys. The added length will cuase a higher current draw so put one in to be safe

Also just spend a little extra and get a battery box. One of the best things I bought when doing my relocate.

hey bud, i know i am late to this but i was wondering what size cable did you use to run the power from your fuse box to the battery? assuming you didnt move the battery to the trunk as well.
