True.. back in the day, if you had money, you'd go get yourself a widebody, kit, rims, etc.
Now, if you have money, you go get yourself a JDM foglight switch for $100.

no..its rice to try and make your car something it isn't
im sure if someone with an LS put VTEC Badges on their car, you'd flame them til they cried....
same thing as trying everything you can to make it look like your UNITED STATES domestic market vehicle is a JAPANESE domestic market...
yes, it may be a japanese manufacturer..but it is still an american-spec car...
you want JDM...import a car from japan..just like you'd tell someone with an LS to go LSVTEC or go buy a new engine if they wanted the badges

i think "trend" would be better than "rice", as there are several million definitions for "rice", the most prominent one being that of cheap, tacky, unsightful, and ridiculous.
well i do know my Integra is a direct import from Japan. its says Manufactured in Japan by Honda Motor Company on the door jamb. so my car is technically JDM because it was built over in Japan...but its not RHD.

No, its still not technically JDM, because it was never intended for sale in the Japanese Domestic Market, which is what JDM stands for. Its still USDM no matter where it was made, it was intended for sale here.

who cares if an import enthusiast happens to ***** jdm goodies? This is a hobby for most of us here, is it not? We modify our cars as we please.

nah but any car that's not a domestic is considered RICE. hell, old ladies at my work place call my car a freaken rice burner. like i care...my car's exterior is mainly stock besides the oem sideskirts, itr front lip, gsr tail, konig v-rated rims painted white to match car. i've even got the oem pin strips that it came with from honda!!
to sum it all up...RICE = all asian imported cars. *and the stuff we eat

you are making a bias statement.
jdm parts are authentic parts that were made straight from car manufacturers in japan.
rice parts are an aftermarket parts that are made out of cheap material and can be purchase almost anywhere for cheap.
with that all said, jdm parts are the next level or upgrade parts compared to usdm, whereas if you relaced with cheap aftermarket parts for usdm parts, you'd know who you are.
