how much does a stock gsr engine weight because im looking for engine lifts and stands and they say the amt each can hold so let me kno guys...also if u guys got lifts and stands tell me which should i get...thanks

 

any engine stand should hold it. honda motors are the the heaviest motors in the work. majority of the time the engine stands are meant to hold all kinda of engines, ranging from I4-v6-v8. u should be fine if you just go with a decent quality stand.

i would estimate 200-350 lbs

without a tranny it is fairly light

a bare block with crank is 95 lbs, the head it about 60 so yea

i would say about 270 plus or minus for a complete long block without a clutch or alternator

 

pretty light

 

lol...i was able to pick up a bare b18c5 short block to put in the back of a van, to take to the machine shop. the crank was off though...it wasn't *terribly* heavy.
