Default vtec wiring?

Hey guys my problem continues and it is killing me ! I have already posted this problem as have many others in the past, but I still can't seem to get my vtec working. My past post gave some very useful information and I thank you for that, unfortunately I need more. I have a 94 jdm gsr in my 99 ls. The motor runs great, but I have no vtec. I am running a chipped p28 so I dont need a knock sensor. I wired vtec to the A4 pin on the ecu and oil pressure sensor to the D6 pin on the ecu, I grounded the oil pressure sensor. Despite all of this I still have no vtec and no clue why . If anyone could lend me a helping hand I will be overly greatful. Thank you all in advance

whats your oil pressure. because vtec wont engage if your oil pressure is low

try hooking the vtec up to a switch. and manually engage vtec.and see if that kicks it in or not.

How might I go about that? You mean like a vtec switch, hit it whenever you want? Would I run the switch from the vtec wire? Sorry to hit you with question after question I just want to be sure I test your idea properly.

yea take the 2(or 3) wires out of the ECU and wire them to a switch. And that way you can manually engage vtec. you want to engage it around 5K though while driving. And if that works then something is wrong with the ECU wiring. If that doesnt work then someone else is wrong. Like maybe that actually vtec wiring. Or you have the ECU chipped. Have you tried a stock GSR ECU. or at else another ECU that you know works.
