I just got done installing valve seals on my b18b head. The intake side looks ok and has a small gap between the seal and the valve seat.
The exhaust side has a bigger gap and doesn't feel like it can go down any more. Is this normal?

Where did you buy the seals from? I had a slight gap between the valve seal and the seat. When you're pressing them down with a 12mm deep socket, you should feel it "click" into place.
Then again, my first set of seals from this "complete engine gasket set" didn't click at all, plus all 16 seals were for the intake (and the shop tried to tell me they were all the same).
So I went ahead and bought a new set of seals locally from prostreetonline.com and they fit/seal just fine.

I got the "complete head gasket kit" from honda directly. So I would imagine they'd fit like the intake sides but I swear to you they can't go any deeper. I dunno, maybe get new ones?
