I've decided I want to put DRLs (Daytim Running Lamps) on my car. Some people like them, some dont. I think they look great. Did a few searches and what I've found is that people have just been putting a switch on the high beams... I still have a few questions... because that is not what DRL are.

1. Are USDM 2000 Integras prewired for the relays and control unit? If they are, where can I get the parts for a good price?

2. Canadian Integras already have the parts installed on thier car as it's law up there; are they're any universal kits that takes the HIGH BEAM 9005 bulb and run them at half power (exactly what real DRLs are, unless you have the pulsing sort)

I've found several kits that take the low beam lights and connects it to an accessory switch, thats not what I want to do. High beam are ground triggered and these kits will not work on them. I've also found one kit that conncts to 9005 bulb but it runs it at full power constantly, not what DRLs are.

Specifically, I'm looking for a kit that will run my high beams at half power (either on a toggle switch or accessory switch) or on a pulse power but still have the use of my high beams when I need them.

Help with links to sites where I can purchase the Canadian parts or universal kits would be greatly appreciated... If you have the time to diagram something up showing how I can wire this up myself with resistors would also help me out a lot. I'm not an electrical engineer, but I do know how to DIY wire things up. Thanks!

 

why would u wanna run wit ur light on on daytime ? it wont help wit ur visions.. it wont do anything to ur car so mine as well just keep it that way it is .....

 

I wouldn't know how to do it much less want to know how to do it. Why not just turn your headlights on when you are driving?
