underdrive pully?

what exactly does an underdrive pulley do, what are the benefits, any thing bad or?????????? just want some answers people

It uses smaller belt journals which spin the accessories slower, thus reducing parasitic drag on the motor. Usually it's not a big enough difference on a Honda motors to justify the cost.
