Default is type r wing functional?

is the type r wing functional or just for looks? i don't want a gt style or a gsr style. but i do want a wing because the back end looks unfinished without one.

A real ITR wing does have function, at high speeds and under breaking it is add some stabality to the rear end. It was tested in the wind tunnel.

Not sure if a fake ITR wing does anything or not

With my new longboard; I have to use the wing as a rack point. (shortboard pictured though)
