Two quick questions about an auto DA
my girl took the DA on a hour trip and i added some lucas transmission stop slip stuff. not much though maybe just an oz. or two. i had plans of changing out the fluid completely today but she had to leave unexpectedly so i thought it would help for the trip.
anyways she called when she got where she was going and said that about half way to her destination it would get stuck in a gear.
so i have 2 questions
1. would this have caused the trans to do this?
2. (off topic) can you add fluid through the trans dip-stick?
i apprietiate the help

sounds like a torque converter problem. that part is what makes the transmission "automaticlly" shift gears. If it is not full of tranny fluid it will not shift the gears. BTW yes you can add tranny fluid through the dipstick, that's where Honda wants you to put it in.
ok well i've been searching all night and found this out.
1. This is a new car to her, we just bought it a week ago, so we have no clue how much fluid was in the car. So i'm assuming that it may have been overfilled a tad and when i added the "stop slip" it overfilled it even more causing it to aerate (sp?) the fluid and screw it up.
So i'm going to go out in the morning and meet her where she is and change out the fluid before she comes home.
If anyone has any other comments i'd be happy to hear other opinions....thanks
