Default Transmission

Hey, I have a 1994 Acura Integra LS with an automatic transmission. I can tell the tranny is running bad and going everytime i floor it and it ***** gears the car jerks. but when i shift into 4th gear it grinds like hell and the rpm shoots up to 3.5-4K RPM and thats the only time it grinds when it shifts into that gear. is the whole tranny junk or just that gear.

How much for a auto re-build or a manual swap? whihc is better?

Point of having an auto is to let it do the shifts for you. Do not try to speed shift an auto not good for the tranny.

I say you just sell your car and buy a trike
