Tranny Help
Ok here is the dilly. I took apart a b16 tranny to put a lsd into it. Now the tranny has trouble going into 1st,2nd,5th,and rev. When the car is stopped and in neutral I try to put it into gear and it will not go in. Then I have to push the clutch in and let it out and then it will go into gear. Sometimes I have to repeat the process a couple of times. Now here is what makes me believe that something did not go back right when I go into reverse the reverse light goes on for 1 sec then it shuts off. Now if I pull the shifter into reverse more the light comes back on. somethings out of line but what is it? This is a b16 tranny into a 95 gsr I was told to keep the shift linkage. I am not sure if I needed a civic si one or not. Well thanks and I hope we can figure this out.
thanks
Luis

if i were you, i wouldn't even mess with it anymore. take it to your local tranny shop and have them fix it. if you keep messin with it, you might even mess it up more and it will probably cost you more money to fix.
i was thinking that if i took it apart and tried to fix it and it didn't work. i would buy a new one. I got this one for free from a friend that totaled his car.
all i could think of...
"IMPORTANT! Make sure you align the interlock guide bolt with the groove under the shift arm, I unfortunately did not the first time and bent the shift arm as you can see here (if you do this you will be locked out of 1st, 2nd, 5th, and reverse gears):"
