So my buddy has a 98 integra automatic and he keeps asking me if he can boost. Now in my mind you can boost anything. But will his tranny hold up to the boost? I have heard both arguments of boosting an automatic. Will he have to change the rev at which the tranny shifts gears? He has the b18 non vtec engine don't know what tranny he's got..

 

You can, but I don't suggest it. Gearing sucks, he would notice a big improvment in performance by simply doing a 5spd swap.

 

Yeah I heard about that. Care to shed some light on doing that? What all would need to be done? And would that be a manual to automatic conversion?
