Transmisson problems seem to be a problem with the gsr's two of my friends have blown up there tranny's and mine in my 95 is starting to grind and has problems going into gear as easily as it used too?

 

With use come deterioration. They aren't problematic, but if you drive like a mad man (who doesn't) then you're gonna get some grinds showing up. Time for new synchros. Do it quick or you'll be where I'm at: replacing more than just synchros, because I ignored the problem and just kept slamming gears. If it ain't breakin', you ain't racin'!

 

hehe, good luck with that synchro shopping. honda doesn't like to sell just blocking rings.

yep, we just put a new tranny and clutch in one. not cheap.

 

5TH GEAR is about $200
