i just recently changed my tps sensor due to my car having idle problems. it would idle around 750-800, and then it would just drop all rpms to the point of almost stalling and then surge back up and would keep doing that. so i changed my tps sensor. now the car idles fine at 1500 and the check engine light is on.. how do i get my idle back down to 800 range and the check engine light to go off. any help would be greatly appreciated.. tks. shane

 

Make sure you calibrated the new tps. Also it sounds like you have vacuum leak, not a tps problem.
