Tips on cleaning inside of headlights?
I recently purchased a pair of 98 headlights for my teg from the junkyard. There is a bit of dirt/dry water spots on the inside housing. Is there a good (easy) way to clean this or do I have to open them and wipe them down? i'd really rather not put them in the oven to open them.

Soap and water, rinse well. Doubt you'll get the water spots out completely after this, but placing them lens up in the sun would help.
I wouldn't use acetone or anything, but alcohol can help sometimes to get water spots out. Distilled water has fewer minerals (which are what cause water spots), so I'd try rinsing with that

When you say soap, do you mean simple green or something like dish soap or bath soap? I'll try whatever I can get my hands on first I guess. Hopefully I can get the dirt off that is on the inside of the lens and projectors. Thx for the help.
I've used meguire's plastic cleaner and polish and I'm happy with their results. Get's rid of small scratches and cleans up stains easily. I would reseal that housing up after.
