Default Thread size on shifter....

Does anyone know what the tread size is on stock shifters? I bought a B&M shift **** but the thread inserts are all SAE (and too small) and I'm guessing the shifter is metric. I've got to go to the hardware store and buy a piece to make it fit and I need to know what size to get. I'm at work but if anyone can try putting like a 10,12,14 mm bolt on it and see if that helps.

Hondas use an 8mm thread. I don't know the exact thread pitch, but most likely you will only find maybe 2 different thread pitches (coarse and fine), so just buy one of each.
