For those with Ground Controls
I'm about ready to pick up a set of coilovers from GroundControl and my question is: those of you that have custom spring rates, what did you order and how well does it ride? I'm wondering if the normal rates would be slightly stiffer than stock but I'm also wanting to have a somewhat nice ride still and not get the hell bounced out of me if I run over a pebble in the road. Let me know how your setup is and your input is well appreciated. Thanks

I have the standard gc's paired up with tokiko illuminas and it's great ^_^ couldn't ask for more. With all the suspension mods in my sig, the car is almost perfectly balanced. HTH
i have the standard GC with tokico blues.. the GC i have came off my civic tho, but the over all ride is smooth. not bouncey, or harsh. not great for overall handling, but a great street ride.
i have standard GC with Konis adjustable. They are pretty good, not bouncy but i have a little roll when i turn on a high speed cornering i think because i dont have the upper tie bars so my car flex a little bit...I think if ur speaking about the smooth and something comparable to stock ride, nothing will even come close to ground controls. Unless u have like some original coilovers like Teins and Apex...its just my opinion...
ground controls are great coilovers. just as long as you dont slam it, the ride is great. trust me.. i slammed my car before with the ground controls and it rides like ****. my front coil was all the way to the bottom, and my rear was about 1" from the bottom coil.
just today, i raised it up about 9 rotations up.. and it rides GREATTT. thats about 2 finger gap.

i've got 425f/400r custom rates on koni yellows. i think it's a great 'compromise' for daily driving and track. i wouldn't mind if they were a little stiffer, either, but that's just personal preference. what kind of shocks are you going to mate the gc's to?

understeer is minimal, but the rear is eager to come out when induced by trailbraking. but as you know, keep in mind that it all depends on how you drive your car, and other suspension mods, and tire pressures, for example, always come into play.
I just put GCs with 400F/450R on my car (GSR sedan, replacing Comptech sport springs), still mated w/ Koni yellows. The ride is notably firmer than before, but I wouldn't call it harsh... tho others might. I'm very pleased.
