Thinking of hondata
I was thinkin of gettin a Hondata S200. I was also thinkin about a VAFC, i know the S200 is like $295, I want to eventually go turbo, what do you think is the best buy for now, b/c i will not have turbo for a long time
The car will drive and idle so much smoother and better with the Hondata. I went from a 310cc VAFC hack to using the Hondata and it's like night and day. I believe this is due in part to the easy-to-use injector correction factor and throttle tip-in enrichment adjustability.
The same goes for using Uberdata. We switched a friend's turbo'd D16Z6 from a 310cc VAFC hack to Uberdata and it did wonders for his idle issue and part throttle driveability.
I dislike using the hack, but you can still work with it and make good wide open throttle numbers on a dyno and run good times at the track with it....it's the other 90% of the driving that you'll learn to hate. Maybe I just haven't spent enough time experimenting with the hack, so maybe someone who has gotten it to hack properly can help me out here.
