He's shifting at 12,000RPM on a stock engine? Even on a fully built engine, with cams that are going to make power that high (I can't think of any other cams than VTEC killers), that's incredibly stupid.

You won't lose by much, if you can drive at all. Don't even both taking your seats out, it's really not worth it. Just go out, and have some fun, no one's judging you.

The Prelude is a great daily driver, I love it. I've never even bothered running it at the track, I know it's a 15 second car. The Type-R is my toy.

Eventually, I'm going to put in a base transmission, get rid of ATTS, and make about 450whp on stock internals, and go run some 11s with it.

How can you ask for times of what your car is going to run? If Lewis Hamilton drives my car he's going to be so much quicker than me.

You need to go out and find out for yourself. The times I pull aren't going to be the times that you pull.

Plus, your first times out you aren't going to be in time attack mode- you're just going to be getting used to the thrill of driving on a track. Just go out a few times and see how you do and then go from there (you can see how your times are in relations to others and then make car/driver assessments).

edit: I assumed he meant a real circuit track not a drag strip? OP, which do you mean?

edit 2: I re-read and realized it was drag racing. I'll shut up now.

Revving to 12k huh...???? I think you will beat this guy at the track due to the fact he is going to blow his stock motor revvin that high. Depending on the driver I would say a LS will be in the 16's or 17's and a GSR 15's or 16's, (depending on the driver) and I am taking it that you will be on a 1/4 mile track. Good Luck and have fun and keep it on the track and off the streets.

Dude, give up if you are on winter tires. All thoes mods do nothing for you car if you can't put the power down to the pavement. If you can't afford a high performance set of tires you shouldn't be high performance driving. I'm sorry to hate so much, but tires are the most important part, get a good set.

1. a Track is NOT a strait line.
2. You have a stock car, its not gonna be fast, no matter how much you want it to be.
3. your friend is running high 14s, and has an engine that can make power at 12k rpm, what are you smoking?
4. Nobody cares how your car does, just go and have a good time.
