at the moment im installing my tein ss's on my 2000 Integra GSR and i have came across a problem.. the fronts are doen and as i started to lower the car on the jack the shock rod started riseing (the rubberbushing and washer and nut) lifted if my hood was closed it would of put a hude dent in them..... i think i have conquered that problem but now i have a knocking noise coming from the driver side.. all bolts are tighten it sounds like its coming from the top of the shock assembally. please help me thanks

did you preadjust the springs?

did you put the nuts on top of the shocks on the tower?

 

yes those are both done.....

 

If its making that knocking noise while your driving (you didnt say) it might be because at the point where the springs are closest they are banging together as you go over bumps. You can use some rubber sleeves that go around the spring (I'm not sure of the name).

 

yes its when driveing i dont think its the coils of the spring touching eachother cause if you push on the car to make it bouce it knocks... grrr this sux lol thank you guys for your fast replys

 

hmm, that may still be it... see if you can wrap the coils in rags or something and try again just to see if it still knocks.
