Default Teggy doesn't start...

Well I switched over to my winter car today which is a 1993 Acura Integra, and when I went to go start it (it's been sitting outside for 2 months only being start like once) the car was completely dead. After we jump started it, the car started and we let it idle for about 1/2 hour to get the blood flowing again. Once I did that I went to go move the car and the breaks were seized up, and I accidentally stalled the car (Not used to having such a soft clutch). Anyway went to start the car again, and all the dash lights come on, and the headlights work, but when I turn the key, no engine rotation at all.

So do you think the battery is dead? It's only about a year old (maybe less), and it seems to hold enough charge to turn on the headlights. Always starts after a jump so it shouldn't be the starter or alternator, or anything like that right?

Any ideas?

Please don't call it a "teggy".

Sounds like your battery could deifnitely be dead. Once boosted your car ran which meant the alternator was working and providing a charge but the battery probably couldn't hold it. I'd start with a new battery first and go from there if you didn't want to tow the car down to your local garage for them to fix it.

Did you try jumpstarting it again?

Yeah I have jump started it a couple of times because it's the only way it would start, I am going to try hooking it up to one of those battery charges that plugs in the wall. If that doesn't work then I will just buy a new battery, I was just making sure it wasn't something I wasn't thinking of.

Glad to hear it. Repeatedly boosts and discharges of a battery will kill it. Glad to hear it was a simple fix.
