my buddy had a similar problem which was caused by a wire for one of the bulbs being pinched between the taillight housing and the frame of the car causing a short. but yea check your fuses.

Each tailight has a seperate control module.

Grab a friend who has a DC and take their control module to see if you get your tailights back.

Im not sure about your cluster. You're gonna have to get that looked at.

I had the same problems, and ummm ok..
1. Have you changed or anyone changed anything electrical in your car ? (my problem was the radio)
2. Any loose wiring running from the tailights up to the front ?
3. Any cuts/splices on the wires ?

yeeeah. Well what my proble was, I pinched one of the wires with the radio support, which caused a short on the electrical wiring, and blew my fuses. <3

GGkTHX

sounds good ? sounds right to me...

There's a short somewhere. The taillights and the instrument lights are all on the same fuse. I had the same problem.

Check the underhood fuse #51. See diagram underhood diagram below. The Helms states:

Fuse Number: 51
Fuse Name: +B Small
Amps: 15
Component: Dash and console lights, Licence plate lights, Rear parking lights, taillights

Check the two underdash fuses #30 (instrument lights) 7.5 amps and #32 (licences/taillights) 10 amps.

Also check the the fuses amps rating, if its higher that the stated values and did not blow, then there's a short somewhere and it didn't trip the fuses due the the higher amp rating. That's why you don't ever use a higher amp fuse than the needed value.

If that don't work, get a Helms manual and a multimeter and look for the short!

check for any frayed wires..basically any exposed wire..use black electrical tape to cover them up..they may be making contact with metal causing a short and blowing the fuse

tape up any bare wire..you will know if something looks out of place and needs to be taped..sounds like you are lookin under the hood..take a look behind the radio itself..im sure there are plenty of spliced wires just yearning to be taped up behind there
