Not to mention the OEM wheel is DESIGNED to collapse in an accident. Plus there's a reason why people use padding on their roll cage bars. *ding ding ding* because it hurts less when you hit it than does an unpadded bar!

The damage of collision against a solid object is much worse than a collision with a padded object, that's common sense.
Don't get why u guys are being so closed minded but ask OP to hit his head on that wheel then go hit it on a stock one.

Regardless of what steering wheel the OP has, if he crashes he's going to get seriously hurt with either the stock wheel or not. It's not like there's an airbag either way.
And I'm glad being 8 years old and getting hit in the face with a bat amuses you.
