That might be the most beat-down interior I've ever seen.....

ANYWAY (get back on topic), it's a metal wheel, it's probably more dangerous than using an actual car steering wheel, and it will get hot as hell in the summer. What else do you need to know? Otherwise it's pretty much just up to you whether you want to use it or not.

That's not a Momo/Sparco bolt pattern, it's a Nardi/Personal bolt pattern - which is why the wheel is crooked. They use the same bolt circle diameter but the Nardi/Personal hub is rotated 90 degrees from the Momo/Sparco setup.

But the whole car interior gets hot in the summer, not just the parts that have direct sun. And when the air temperature gets hot, metal parts tend to radiate the most heat.

All steering wheels have a metal "skeleton". If he's in a front end, it wouldn't matter if he had a stock wheel or a metal wheel, it's going to do some damage.

Actually it would be your skull that hits it, not chest/ribs.

If you had a choice to get hit with a metal bat or a metal bat with a rubber pad around it, which would u choose?

I agree, it's not going to do much more damage than a stock one would.

And as for the heat... It's a boat wheel, designed to be directly in the hot sun all the time. I bet it doesn't get any hotter than a normal wheel would.

Metal wheel in the sun in open 85° air

vs.

Metal wheel in an enclosed car cabin (greenhouse) with interior air temperature of 130° or more.

Show me a thermometer at 130 degrees in your car.

Boat in the middle of a lake with the suns rays directly beating upon it

vs.

Steering wheel in a hot car.

http://wow.weather.com/newscenter/sp...oriz-plain.css

Test on weather.com showing how dangerous it is to leave kids and pets in a hot car. On a 90° day the interior temperature got up to 133° F after only 30 minutes.

http://pediatrics.aappublications.or...ull/116/1/e109

This one refers to tests where temperatures exceeded 150° after an hour on a 90° day.

And regardless if the wheel is designed to be in direct sun or not, the metal is still going to FEEL hotter to the touch than vinyl or leather would. Trust me I know, the vinyl, plastic, and leather surfaces in my car feel hot as fire on a hot day, but the metal seat belt tongue, for example, will just about burn my skin if not careful.

Lol stock wheels aren't that stiff, I can bend a stock wheel, ill put money down that wheel ain't bending

I bent the whole top of my wheel punching it repeatedly after a argument yrs ago, if I punch that thing like that id break my hand

I GUARANTEE there would be more damage, on the plus u can get a removable hub and beat any theives with it lol

I've already been hit in the face with a metal bat as a kid. So... neither, they both will hurt as fawk. Plus most metal bats are hollow. Adding rubber will increase the density of the bat, thus increasing the mass coming at you.

Lol bullshit anything with padding around it is gonna hurt less

The damage of collision against a solid object is much worse than a collision with a padded object, that's common sense.

Don't get why u guys are being so closed minded but ask OP to hit his head on that wheel then go hit it on a stock one.
Ill bet a million dollars on it the metal one hurts more
