Starting Problem
I have a 91 integra LS with a jdm obd0 b16. Car has cranked everytime and i have not noticed any signs of a failing alternator or anything. One time it didnt start at my girlfriends house (no power) but it jumped off fine and was fine after that. About 2 weeks after that, I go to start it and it makes a loud "cranking sound" for literally less than a second then nothing. no headlights, no dash lights, no power at all. Upon jumping the car off, it starts fine and runs fine. Although, i havent driven it since ive had this problem. just jumped it off and let it run. when i let the car run for about 15 minutes, and cut it off, when i try to cut it back on, same ****, NOTHING. i used a multimeter on the battery and off it reads about 12.5 ( i think im doing it right) once jumped off, it reads about 14.2. this leads me to believe my battery a nd alternator are doing their jobs....and the car starts fine when jumped off which leads me to believe the starter and ignition switch and related parts are still good. please help, im no mechanic and get beyond reasonably stressed when **** like this happens.
Now that i remember, i traded my aem for my brothers **** pile intake plus cash, and i am almost 100% it touched the battery. if this happened, and a fuse is blown, would the car still be able to be jumped off???
thanks man.
tried another known good battery int he car. same issue. and after about 10 seconds after i tried to start it i heard a POP i guess it was a fuse blowing.
