its taking 2-3 turns on the key to start my car, is it because of the cold weather or could it be something else i should be concerned about? thanks

i actually just recently got wires, dist cap, rotor, and spark plugs. i have an aftermarket distributor and i used a oem honda rotor. I think the rotor for me is what's causing the problem. Could just be the spark plugs too. Could be a whole lot of things. I think my car might be running rich so my spark plugs might be done. I'll check em' when i have a chance. Gluck with your car man.

Need more info.

MM&Y of car to start with?

When you say, "its taking 2-3 turns on the key to start my car" what exactly do you mean??

You have to turn the ign. key to start position 3 times before engine cranks, [starter works]?

Engine cranks, [starter works] each time but engine will not fire, [start]?

You have to turn ign. switch all the way off each time and then one of the above? 94

Try this, turn ign. on to the run position, [not start] wait until fuel pump stops priming, turn ign, off and back to run again, again wait until fuel pump stops priming, do it a 3rd time but this time once the fuel pump stops priming, try and start the engine.

MM&Y of car???

If engine starts the first time you crank it, after cycling the ign. switch 3 times, it would indicate a fuel pressure problem, [fuel pump problem].

The above assumes fuel pump primes every time the ign. switch is turned on, if fuel pump does not prime every time you turn on the ign. the problem may be the PGM-FI Main Relay, or the fuel pump

Maybe for a bit do not go directly to crank when you turn on the ign., wait and make sure the fuel pump primes the first time you turn the ign. switch on, especially in the morning. 94

When changing the whole distributor . Do you remove and install or do you have to set rotor to tdc

You can remove the old one and install the replacement distributor without setting the engine to TDC... but you WILL have to reset the ignition timing.
