Squeaking Noise comming from steering.
I have a 98' integra rs and it seems to make a loud squeaking noise when i turn. It only does it at low speeds. Is it the powersteering pump or possibly the steering shaft's rubber bushings are worn? any help appreciated thanks
I have this too, I didn't think much of it...but now sicne it's brought up. Is anythign wrong with that? As I'm pulling out of my driveway and I turn the wheel, I start hearing these noises coming from...somewhere at the wheel I say.
had a problem thats sounds like yours. the previous owner ran the power steering pump almost dry for a while, apparently, and it squealed like hell at low speeds. i refilled the fluid, fixed the leak that was causing it to run low, and the noise went away. check the level, make sure your ps belt is tight. good luck
i had this too, i replaced my wheel bearings and everything was fine... so that migh be the case with you.. but if its not, a sqeeking would prolly mean that something is rusted.. so PB blast, or WD40 all the tie rods ...
seems like the driver front wheel not sure if its passenger to. as for other replys ill check the fluid if its low ill fill it up hopefully thats the prob bec thats the cheapest one for sure lol

the power steering fluid container is at the drivers side near the headlights. \just twist off the cap to open. Youll see a diagram on the container telling you the level.

how are your breaks/rotors? also is noise the only factor or is there any wobble in the steering wheel or something else unusual
