I don't know if this should go into the ITR forum or here. Rather then being flamed, I chose to go here instead. I know someone who's willing to sell his 98 Type R w/ 58K miles. The car is really clean with minor modifications (only a header and cai) and I was wondering how much the car would go for. It's a rebuilt title. No rust or visible dents or damage to the exterior, as so I'm told. The car has been garaged and the paint is in mint condition after the car was fixed. I'm probably gonna see the car sometime next week but I was wondering how much the car is really worth with the rebuilt title. Once I get the VIN, I'll carfax it as soon as possible to see what else is up and have a leakdown test. The owner of the car is selling it for 12.5K. Thanks guys, looking forward to your replies.

 

I'd say no less then 10k. The parts alone are worth that, so 12.5 probably isnt too bad.

Thats funny because Ive own 4 different integras over the past 5-6 years and havent had any problems.

I would try to get it for around $10,000 but I think if it is running right and has all the Type R parts, it's worth at least $11,000.

mine has been stolen twice now. maybe cuz its not a piece of crap like yours

 

check all the vin tags, see to what extent its been rebuilt, check the tag on the motor as well. Obviously drive it, make sure it idles ok, make sure vtec engages ok, see what the oil looks like, get it on a lift if you can to check underneith. Make sure they didnt throw in a gsr tranny, or something shady like that.

If I were you I would see if they will let you take it for a while and take it to a bodyshop and put it up on a frame rack if there is any frame damage the car is only worth $5K i dont care what the car looks like
