Default some problems with a 95 integra ls

I have a few problems with my 1995 Acura Integra LS. It's a totally stock car except for a cold air intake and a lack of an exhaust pipe and muffler (not my fault, i swear). I've tried searching both this site and google, but I think i'd like to have all my answers in one easy place. The car gets me from point A to point B, and it hasn't died on me yet.

The biggest problem is this sort of lurching during low speeds. I'll be cruising along at up to 35mph and the engine will start to sound like it's dying, and it can be heard and felt.

The engine has an idle surge when cold. It'll go from 1000, go up to 2000, then drop back to 1000. It stops when the engine warms up.

The ecu is giving out trouble code 43 Fuel Delivery System.

Advice will be appreciated and will be rewarded with my... appreciation.

Manual says rough idle can be fuel injectors or contaminated fuel.

misfire or running rough can be fuel injectors, contaminated fuel, or fuel pressure regulator.

frequents stalling after warming up is fuel pressure regulator.

if you lost power, it could be fuel injectors, fuel filter or fuel pump.

Maybe this will help.

replace your fuel filter and check fuel pump output pressure. if all seems well there, pull the fuel rail up and bump the motor over to see if any of the injectors are clogged.

In either case, a good seafoaming probably wont hurt anything

I replaced the filter yesterday, that didn't help so it's not that. I need to find some time to check everything else.

*sigh. the notorious code43. could be this could be that. that code is extremely vague unfortunately. most people have luck trouble shooting the o2 sensor for that code
check it's operation.
i'd be willing to bet the cold idle fluctuation is a sticking fitv though. since it's purely mechanical and while cold, the pcm is in open loop.
check/clean the fitv.
another likely possibility is a vacuum leak. check for leaks. because that could cause both problems, as well as trigger that code

cleaning the fitv seems like a little bit of a hassle, but i'll be able to smoke for leaks sometime this week. also, seafoam on saturday, no matter what. it's always a huge party when seafoam is involved.

any other ideas?

my DA did that to me for a while until one day it just quit on me, ended up being clogged injector screens, course when i got the car it had been sitting under an awning and hadn't moved in 10 years due to a blown ecu fuse, picked it up for 500$

maybe...

"Symptoms of bad TPS include hesitation/stumbling/misfiring at low RPM and poor fuel economy. It can also cause problems only at a specific throttle position. For example stumbling/hesitation only at 25% throttle but otherwise ok."

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/official-honda-tps-wiring-calibration-thread-2830131/

mine was definitely bad but never got a code.
they dont have to be very far out of adjustment to **** things up.

check cam/crankshaft alignment too, mine was off a notch and did similar stunts.

Sounds like a loose wire or connection for an ECU input. You won't see the code (assuming the input is monitored by the OBD system) unless the continuity is broken.

Theres a coolant valve (FITV) right under the throttle body. Pull the valve off and take it apart. Either its dirty and stuck or fell apart inside. Better off replacing it if honestly. This controls your fast idle when cold. Its a common over looked problem. I have seen people replace tons of parts/ clean everythign and still not realize this is the problem. Its got two bolts in it and two coolant lines. Shouldn't take you much effort to pull off.
