I have seen this same thing done elsewhere also. It works from what I have seen, but I could only reason going through the hassle if you own a car that companies do not make poly inserts for. Some people don't like the added harshness. The inserts are 30, but you can remove them if you don't like them. This does not seem to be reverseable.

Which section do they keep that in? It could be useful for other projects...

you can mix and match the prothane and es kits to cover all 5 mounts.

depending on what motor/chassis you have the dash, shifter, steering wheel and other things are going to vibrate more. i'm using only the lower 2 inserts for the rails and it's better but much more vibration.... damn glovebox. i gotta fix that.

later

I have the lower 3 ES mounts in right now (well actually my motor isin't even in my car now ) and I bearly notice the vibration at all....Like said above, I would rather have vibration then my motor moving all over the place. I really want to do something to my top mounts to stiffen it up a little more. Are the prothane mounts just like the ES mount inserts? Where can I get them, and about how much are they?

oh i don't mind the vibration either. i'm into function before form so if it helps me go faster, handle better or last longer then i like it. that's where my time and $$ goes, always.
