If i plan on going turbo with my ls is there anyway i will pass smog ?? In CA we now have to pass every year correct? This means me saving for a turbo kit will be useless cuz i have to pass smog to register each year .. anyone in CA with this delimma?

 

Only the "street" turbo's are legal, with carb numbers. If you're going to make a custom turbo or run a bigger turbo, no one will smog your car unless you know someone who knows someone ect. Also, even with a legal turbo your emissions have to be good, so you can't boost more and turn up your fuel. Everything has to be legal...which sucks but law sucks period. Good luck...just go N/A!!!!

 

and u get smogged every 2 years

 

just take out the turbo and replace stock parts whenever the time comes around, it's only once per 2 years. Thats what I'm doing.
