About a year ago I installed 5zigen springs on my '99 gsr stock shocks. I am planning on changing the shocks soon. Can anyone recommend a type of shock that compliments the 5zigen springs?

 

of course like everything else, it depends how much you want to spend.

i can't remember anyone not liking their koni yellows (aka koni sport).
i love mine. adjustable: you'll never go back.
these might be the way to go if you're not getting a whole (real) coilover system.
for non-adjustable i don't know who wins between tokiko and koni. various people like and dislike both of them. hth.

 

Without a doubt get Koni Yellows. I planned on getting KYB AGX, but their warranty is only good for lowering of 1.5" or less (something like that). And I have no idea how much your 5zigens lower your car. You might as well get the best and go for Koni Yellows. They're WORTH IT.

STop being cheap and just get the Koni Yellows (inside joke )
