You can get good reception with the s2k antenna but they say it takes a lot of modification...I dont know what modifications need to be done but i will stick with my stock antenna since it works fine.

I may be the first to say that i dont care to much for that s2k antenna but it is a vast improvement over the humongous stock integra antenna (when it is in use). </TD></TR></TABLE>

the reception is a tad bit more fuzzy, but nothing that annoying unless ur really into ur radio. personally, i dont regret doing this conversion and i got my kit from rstor.

This is mostly done for looks and not to improve reception I thought, well in my case my ugly antenna broke and I thought this would be a great replacement for me.

Were you able to find out if the kit will work for the DA chassis?

Thanks.

No drilling required. You will need to reuse the plastic rubber base on the outside of the OEM antenna. It is the things under the silver lock ring. A few guys have used them on DA's, Accords, and even older Preludes. My disclaimer is that that kit was designed for a DC and I have never personally installed on on any of those cars so I do not guarantee the fit. Yes, the stock S2K rubber antenna mast is needed. ONe from a MDX, Element, or the longer Insight antenna will work too.</TD></TR></TABLE>

This is somewhat off-topic, I am interested in the kit, but when I start my car and turn the radio on, it makes it god-awful noise. I was told that the mast isn't catching and I need a new mast and a motor, I am just curious to know what is exactly needed to fix this. I would like to do this S2K conversion, but wanna make sure I fix everything else while I am at it. If you can help me out, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

I am not postive but my antenna mast was bent so It wouldnt go down. I decided I was going to buy this kit and then buy the s2k antenna mast because it is shorter and much more sexy. Take apart your wiper motor and see what is screwed up.

So your saying all I need to alleviate my problem is the kit, and the S2K antenna mast? I figured the motor would have to be replaced as well.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by import810 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

The S2000 antenna looks clean on DC2's/DC4's for sure. I had one on my '97 Integra and it looked good in my opinion. The drawback is that the reception was very poor. I removed the motor and most of the assembly from the old antenna and connected the S2000 one up right. Without a signal booster or additional antenna mounted in the car, you're most likely not going to get great reception.
