I got my skunk2 front strut bar yesterday and you have to remove abs to fit it in. I was wonderin is there anything I have to be careful around so I dont mess somethin up?
i thought that the skunk 2 bar fits with abs? is it the one that looks like a spoon bar? well i must be mistaken then. but is it really worth it to get rid of your whole abs for a strut bar? unless your don't want it or it doesn't work. i really don't know jack about abs except for my car has it. so good luck and if no one here answers your question i would check g2ic.com

Havent tried it yet but it doenst look like it would fit, I also just want it removed to make the engine bay a little cleaner also. Thanks for the reply though, hopefully I can find a answer before I just go at it.
From the searching I did after my Accelerator pump went out on my old car, It's a fairly large undertaking. It's not just removing the resivour and no longer having abs. You need to get the system out of a non-abs car and change the master cylinder, the brake lines and possibly the calipers as well.
If your abs is non functional go for it, otherwise I'm not sure it's worth it just to put a strut bar in when you can find strut bars that will work with it still in the car.

Thanks dude, i got some thinking to do. Maybe in the long run when I pull the motor would probably be a easier time to do it.

Bingo!!! Brake lines are much much easier with no motor in the way!
