alright so my relay is making this some what loud humming noise coming from the main relay and why its doing this the check engine light is dim. and of coarse the car does not start at all. when i change the ecu back to stock and take out the jumper harness it still does the same thing... i have changed the relay and ecu now im out of ideas and have really no ideas where to go from here...

 

ok.. so how about some more information?

What jumper harness are you talking about? Is the relay getting hot? Are you changing it with the right relay? junkyard or used or new? Are you changing the right ecu for whatever you're running? What are you running for engine, etc?

the jumper harness for the ecu to convert to obd1 from 2 a. but the car and engine is a 96 gsr. the ecu that is going to run the car now is a obd1 ecu...

the relays that im trying are ones from cars that run. but is there a difference in the relays? but every single on of them has done the same thing except the last one i tried and it would turn the check engine off quickly but still what dim and didnt start.

so i dont think its a relay or ecu its... i have no clue!
