i bought a short shifter and installed it however it is still very tall and i'd like it to be shorter(not throw wise, that was shortened but i mean shorter in length) do any of you have sugestions?or have any of u done something like this and could give me a word of advice>>> thanx.

well......ive looked into doing it before. i have the skunk 2 and i want the actual stick even shorter. i was looking into tap and die sets that could do it. and all i could find at sears or ebay was a die that was 12.5mm. and it looked too small to me. so.....i dunno a die bigger than 12.5 mm might do the trick.

 

Anybody ever done it to their stock shifter?

Go to a mom and pops hardware store for the tap and die. The local one here has a huge class case, with large sizes. As for the size of the shifter, i dont know... Get some bolts, and thread them on till you find the right size.
