Why would you drill into your rad? You're either gonna have coolant go into your tranny, or tranny fluid into your radiator. Stop being a cheap *** and go buy one they are fairly cheap and go for about $120-150, even cheaper on ebay.

you can NOT drill into the manual radiator to make it auto... all you will be doing is destroying that radiator... i have an auto radiator in my teg.. if you want i will trade you my auto for your type R manual... i am in charlotte right now
The line for the transmission fluid in the radiator is completely sealed off from the coolant and is only present in radiators made for automatic cars, this is why you can't modify your other radiator. You can, however, obtain an aftermarket external cooler for a rather small amount of money and attach it with some fuel hose and some small hose clamps.
