Default Quick CEL question (91 DA)

My CEL on my teg turns on and off randomly. I changed my o2 semsor about 8 months ago. My speedo cable came out from the back of my cluster the other day, and i havent gotten around to fixing it. Could that be it or is it something else. Keep in mind, when the light comes on, nothing changes, no sputters, no shakes, no aids infested ****** come out to eat me. It even goes away for a few hours if i cut the car off, and then start it back up. Any suggestions on what it could be?

read the FAQ board on diagnostic code removal.

U HAVE TO PULL THE CODE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS.

KINDA LIKE REQUESTING NO ONIONS OR PICKLES AT MCDONALDS, U WONT KNOW WHATS IN THERE TILL U LOOK.

the code should still be there, i unhookes the VS cable from the gauge pod in my girls 91 GS n the code was there untill i disconnected the battery (bout two weeks later, so was the fuel injector code when i was doing a cylinder balance test on the injectors). if the code isnt there, maybe u have a short in the gauge pod. or a problem in the ECU
