i want to move my battery to da trunk. can i just move then one in now or do i have to buy a special battery. i got it from discount autoparts. anotha one can i run my 4g wire for the positive. ive read an some say its ok and some say its bad.
You can use your same battery but I highly recomend getting a battery box. That way you have a logical way to mount it and it will give you protection in case of detonation/leaks. As far as the wire goes 4 guage is fine as long as it's used fof the pos & neg I would also put an inline fuse on the positive lead just to be safe.
He means to add a fuse to the positive wire you will be running back. I would buy a kit that comes with everything you need, something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

Why not anything larger than 4 gauge? 2 gauge should work just fine as well; might just be a little overkill. Then again if he ever plans on running a large stereo system in his car, it might help out a bit.
Every car audio shop should have everything that you need to do a battery relocation (minus the battery box which you can pick up at any auto parts store). All you should need is:
-Around 15 feet of Power wire- always better to have too much. Either 4gauge or 2g.
-3 feet of Ground wire- same gauge as power wire just different color which makes it easy to tell the difference at a glance.
-Inline fuse or circuit breaker- run it within 12 inches or so of the battery.
-All the terminal fittings you will need.
You can buy a premade Amp wiring kit, but then you are going to have RCA wires, speaker wires, etc, that you wont be using. It is usually cheaper to buy it separately.
Oh, and you would be amazed at what you can find if they let you in the back to dig in their trash and wire dump bins!

Go to a local stereo shop, tell them what your planning on doing, and have them sell you the wiring, inline fuse, terminals, and box. Should no be more than $70-80 or so, just like the one in the ebay link.
